The letter of your Blessedness, which the long passage of time had made longed for, the approaching festival has rendered more welcome still; this festival we have, in the name of God, celebrated prosperously, and we rejoice that it was suitably observed by you as well. Pray that it may ever come about, by the intercession of the holy ones, for the catholic Church, that what the rule of divinity knows to be fitting may, with peace preserved, in all things accord with the charity of brotherhood.
