They report that at Lignidum [Lychnidus] likewise all things have been carried out according to the instruction of Hormisdas. In another letter we made known to your Beatitude concerning the city of Scampina and concerning the venerable bishop Trojus: in what order he submitted his petition [libellus], and what a festal celebration was held in that very city. By the mercy of God we came to Lignidum. Theodoritus, the venerable bishop of that same city, likewise submitted his own petition, which petition was read out in the church, and all things were done in accordance with your ordinance. Pray to God; hope from his Apostles, the most blessed Peter and Paul, that God, who has granted such beginnings to your prayers, may likewise let prosperous outcomes follow them as well, so that the times of your crown [episcopate] may ever be proclaimed in the correction of the churches. This letter we have dispatched to your Apostolate [the papal see] on the day of the Nones of March [the 7th of March].
