Letter 479: Terentianus asks after Tiberianus's health and sends instructions for an official letter.

Claudius Terentianus sends very many greetings to Claudius Tiberianus, his father and lord. Before anything else, I pray that you are well and successful, which is what I wish for you. I am amazed that after sailing upstream you have not written back to me about your safety. Until today I have been anxious, because you left me while you were unwell. So please write back to me as quickly as possible about your health. Deliver to Tabetheus the letter from the dioiketes [the financial administrator] to the strategos [the district governor]. Let her do everything she can to hand it over to the strategos as quickly as possible, so that he too may reply promptly to what has been written to him. I had intended to sail upstream myself, but even now I have not yet finished settling my own unfinished business. If you learn anything about Nemesianus, where he is staying, write back to me, since we are anxious about him as well. My household sends you greetings. Greet everyone who loves you, each by name.
